Meet The Pack

Allison Daack, CPDT-KA, Certified Fear Free Trainer, AKC CGC Approved Evaluator, LLA Graduate - is the founder of Daack Pack Dog Training, and has been working with and training dogs, along with other species since 2008. She is also a member of APTD, PPG, and IAABC.  In the beginning of her career, Allison was a Kennel Technician working closely with a Veterinarian where she learned all about developmental periods of dogs, handling skills and how to prevent behavior issues. From there she spent several years working with exotic animals at numerous wildlife facilities and reserves, first in North Carolina, then California. She did everything from educating the public, rehabilitation, and using training to help animals cope with life in captivity, usually due to injury or illness.  Her passion for behavior modification began with teaching cooperative care cues to a Black Vulture in the raptor / avian exhibits. Allison then had a long career with Petco, where she became a Dog Training Mentor. Not only did she train other dog trainers to be dog trainers, she taught group classes, and was an integral part of a corporate team that created continuing education materials for trainers, and updated Petco's dog training program. However, Petco does not take behavior modification clients, so on June 1, 2016, Allison founded Daack Pack Dog Training as a way to better support the needs of her clients whose dogs might struggle with fear, anxiety, or display aggression. Through this company she has been able to provide the community with custom, in-home training to support their specific needs and the needs of their pets.

Marie Turner-Bailie, LLA Graduate, comes to us with 15 years of industry experience both in training and trainer mentoring.  In 2007 she was mentored by trainer Ruth Brown, and soon after started conducting her own classes at Petco in Roseville, CA.  Along her path she’s volunteered with Placer County Animal shelter, and A New Hope Dog Rescue.  Within 5 years, she became a Dog Training Mentor helping to build other dog trainers’ skill sets and confidence, and passing on her broad knowledge base. She looks forward to helping you with your training and behavioral goals.

Joanne Bignoux McMahon, is a CPDT-KA Karen Pryor Academy - CTP, member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and an affiliate of Peaceable Paws LLC.  Dedicated to presenting effective science backed solutions, Joanne actively pursues ongoing continuing education and professional development by attending seminars or conferences, reading books, and recently completed the Victoria Stilwell Academy – Online Dog Trainer Course.  When not improving the skills of clients and canines, she contributes to the care and health of pet animals as a Veterinary Assistant at a local Veterinary Hospital.

Emily Black is the Office Manager of Daack Pack Dog Training.  During the 2010's she worked closely with the Northeast chapter of Greyhound Welfare as a foster home for retired racing greyhounds, eventually adopting one herself and continuing to foster while Gordon, her adoptee, acted as "ambassadog" to incoming retired racers. After a career as an Access Services Librarian in Massachusetts, she moved to California and began working as an Office Manager in Bay Area startups before settling down in Sacramento and joining the Pack.  She currently has 1 ancient chihuahua and 3 bantam chickens.
